Media Player automaticallydownloaded what it thought was the appropriate codec and began to playthe file. CODEC WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER : I am utilizing the Windows Media Encoder (version 9) to create a MBRfile with the characteristics below. (Consequently the source is anMPEG2 file). When the output (WMV) file is played in Windows MediaPlayer 6.4, the output video is very jumpy and the audio frequentlydrops out. When the same WMV file is played in Windows Media Player 9(on the same computer), the output is much smoother and there are noaudio drops. Is this simply due to better handling/parsing of the WMVfile in the newer player?
