I'm using InterActual Player for that DVD (because it's what loadedwhen the DVD opened). I found the audio part (yes, it was under languages) andthe volume was set all the way up on it, that's why I was so frustrated.You have to have some other DVD software in order for the InterActual Player towork. The InterActual player doesn't come with the decoders you need to watcha DVD, it uses the ones it finds. Being a .EXE file itwill try to install with DVD autoplay turned on.You are correct, a lot of DVD's now have some sort of Player they try toinstall once the DVD is inserted in the drive. INTERACTUAL PLAYER : I got the LOTR extended edition, have a slight problem with disk #1 of the feature, if using Interactual Player the software goes to a white screen and then hangs. But I have no problem playing the feature using WinDVD.With the Appendix disc #1 it's a different story, in Interactual Player I slip the disc in and the DVD-ROM menu comes right up.Question, am I missing anything that's on the DVD-ROM on the feature disks, that is not on the supplement disks?I just tested it out. My computer won'tread any of the four discs in the set.Do you have a Samsung or LG Electronics DVD-ROM drive in your computer?Interactual has identified a problem where the FoTR:EE DVD's cannot be readby these brand drives.Both Samsung and LG Electronics have been informed by Interactual of thisproblem; there is now a plan to update the firmware on these drives to fixthe problem. I would not be surprised if New Line offers corrected DVD's toowners of the FoTR:EE set so they can be played on Samsung and LGElectronics DVD drives.
